How this works vs. the board game

In the Wembley Companion, Cup Heroes replace International Stars listed on the board game. Just like International Stars, physical Cup Heroes tokens are purchased before a match. If they are selected and finish on the winning team they are kept by the winning manager. If they lose they are returned for any player to purchase.

New mechanics have been added to make this a more immersive and realistic gaming experience, reflecting the real-world FA Cup heroics of legends who made Wembley their stage.

Each hero has a unique bonus that fires automatically during the match simulation. Unlike International Stars, Cup Heroes have an 80% chance to fire, so choose wisely!
The price on each card is the in-game purchase cost, pay it from your cash reserve before the match

Every hero carries a hidden secondary bonus — a special ability rooted in their real FA Cup story. These don't fire automatically. Each one has a unique trigger condition tied to that player's legend.

Some thrive on the big stage under the Arch. Others rise against the odds. A few only show up when the moment is right.
